Farewell Tour

A cultural, spiritual, creative and musical pilgrinage on the footsteps of Saint Romuald, from Ravenna to Camaldoli, touching on other Benedictine-Romuald centres in Romagna.
This year, a century after Sarajevo, we will investigate the relationship between Christianity and violence.
Christians, Peace, War is a meditation on the path traced by Romualdo, who sent His Word to the gentiles of Hungary and Poland: “Peace on earth, good will to men”.
Why wars then? Why have religions justified armies from time to time? What were they defending? The Holy War, of course... but what about Pacem in Terris? Can excessive love make us violent? Can love turn to “jealous attachment” and generate violence? How can we tame the dragon hiding inside us and our facilities?
These issues will be debated from Ravenna to Camaldoli.
