Father and son shamelessly tackles parent-child relationships, with a half-comic, half-tragic language in constant oscillation between irony and pain. It is a meditation on our “jammed” time, on the future of our children and on the worn out concepts of freedom and authority. The analysis reveals a disoriented society, petty and lame, wordy and inadequate, caught up in the process of metamorphosis. A society of depleted fathers, of ineffectual and neurotic educators, whose children prefer to hide in their hoodies and sink into a sofa, surrounded and protected by their technological prostheses, rejecting or despising all confrontation. It is a wry and tender story, the blatantly honest monologue of a verbose, pushy father to a silent, absent son.
