PENNSYLVANIA GIRLCHOIR
The United States have an established choral tradition that strikes roots in a large number of school, college and church amateur choirs. Combined with the typically American spirit of competition which has different schools confronting one another on everything from sport to spelling and music, this provides a solid background for the emergence of true excellence. The Pennsylvania Girlchoir is one of such excellences. 10 years into its history, a new international tour takes the choir to Ravenna, where the young American singers will perform below the stunning mosaics of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo and their processions of Saints, as in the gospel hymn When the Saints Go Marching In.
